Rivers was led by Marietta’s founding father General Rufus Putnam. Marietta is also known for its iconic Sternwheelers and local historic buildings that are now beautiful hotels, B&Bs, boutique shops, restaurants, & preserved sites for visitors to enjoy along the Ohio River.
