Magical Christmas Village on Hallmark Channel

Review of Hallmark’s Magical Christmas Village

The Movie Reviews continue with another Hallmark Christmas Movie! Not all Hallmark Movies feature small towns, but many of them do. Here’s the small town and film information you need to know from another Hallmark Channel release this Holiday Season.

Where is Bryson Falls?

The adorable small town Bryson Falls is fictional. However, the real location is Vancouver, British Columbia or “Hollywood of the North.” Vancouver may not be a “small town,” but it plays the backdrop to many small town movies because of its diversity & charm. It’s also the home to Lighthouse Pictures- who produces a good majority of Hallmark films these days. As a small town enthusiast and activist (I’ve been in real small town trenches doing the work) you will pick up on many real small town themes early in the film. Such as, Summer’s (Alison Sweeney) love for renovating old downtown spaces and local busy bodies around the town talking about economic development ideas. But, of course the movie magic helps out with the “actual costs.” But, that’s why we love movie magic! You can watch Christmas Day (12/25) at 10a.m. EST. on Hallmark Channel.

What’s The Storyline?

-Airs again Christmas Day (12/25) at 10a.m. EST. – Or watch it on YouTube!

I have really loved Alison Sweeney and Luke Macfarlane’s movies in the past, so I am not surprised that I liked this one. Such a beautiful little movie. The scenery, music (loved the opening credits song!) and magical storyline were so great. They did a great job, had a good connection – and I loved the “moments” when the magic sort of took hold during their scenes.

However, I had a REALLY hard time watching Marlo Thomas, though. I loved her character in this movie – fun, quirky, whimsical…. but looking at her on screen was just uncomfortable because she has had so much plastic surgery. I always thought she was so pretty, and it made me sad that she was somewhat unrecognizable to me. So, giving it 7.5 out of 10 crowns, not quite 8 but better than 7 👑👑👑👑👑👑👑tear factor of 3 out of 5 – SOLID tears at the end. 💧💧💧
